My Way of Being
Hello, my name is Jessica.
I have been a therapist since 2020, and although that was a great time of trauma collectively for
the whole world, for me it was also a time of great change personally. It taught me so very much
about myself and others as well, in a more profound way.
I learned what it looked like, and felt like, to have a nervous system that was on fire. And so,
from that point on, I began to recognize this fried system, not only in myself, but in others as
well.

Philosophy in Motion
This is what inspired me to create guided meditations, which I offer to my clients.
I truly believe that being in the present moment is healing, and it is one thing that we can all
agree on.

Being with what is, stopping and looking at what is right in front of you, is not just about
meditation or mindfulness. It is about appreciating the natural world, the beauty of Mother Earth.
The birds that scientifically calm our very systems because we are all connected at our core.
The Framework I Practice From

It is from this standpoint that I do all my therapy work, meeting you right where you are.
Not seeing you for the person that I want you to be, but seeing you for the precious person that
you already are.

I always lead with reminding you that you are the expert of your own care and that you have
everything you need inside of you already to succeed.
I think society has taken more from us than the ability to be with what is. And of that very long
list of things that have been taken from us is power as well.
The power in knowing that we are good as we are and there's not one more thing we need to do
to be good.

So, as you can see already, empowerment is another tool that I use in my therapy box, and I truly
mean this.

Trauma-Informed
I also work from a trauma-informed perspective and am certified in EMDR therapy, which can
be very effective when treating trauma.

And I do this at a pace that is not only ethical but also is gentle on your system.

Neurodivergent Affirming
I also am neurodivergent and affirming in this as well.
I don't want to change one thing about you. I don't want to teach you how to be something that
you're not or something that you've been told you should be.
I want to affirm you. I want to validate you. I want to see you, hear you, know you, and I want
you to know you too.

I want to walk alongside you as we navigate your understanding about your journey and
obstacles that may have been out in your path.
Together we will hold those things, examine them, process them, and then wish them well as
they leave you.
And finally, I want to work with you on how to stand in your own authentic way that is true to
you.

LGBTQIA+ Affirming
I also am a queer therapist, which is just one layer of who I am.
And I am so very proud to be a space for other humans in the LGBTQIA+ community where
they understand that their journey is a sacred one indeed.
And they can unpack with me all the expectations, pain, and hurt that has come along with that,
all the while knowing they don’t have to explain certain aspects of this that are understood already.
