Hello

My name is Heidi and I specialize in supporting parents and those with autism, ADHD, and anxiety in navigating the struggles of an increasingly complicated world. Do you or your child feel like they can’t find their place in a world that is not set up for those with neurodivergence (ADHD/ASD)?  Maybe you’ve been told you have to wait months, or even years, to access testing or treatment, and don’t know how to help your child in the meantime. Or your child was recently diagnosed and you don’t know where to go from here. Do you feel like you are all alone, or that you and your child are being set up to fail?

YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Your experiences are valid.

Clinical Therapist

I provide a safe, kind, and non-judgemental space for you and your child to share your experiences, and be heard and validated. I will listen compassionately and with understanding from my own professional and personal experience with neurodivergence.

Those of us who are neurodivergent may struggle in social situations or with communication, so I tailor my approach in the following ways:

  • Allowing extra space and time to get to know each other, without pressure.

  • Being my real, genuine, imperfect, and weird self in each session.

  • Providing honest, direct, straightforward, and easy to understand feedback.

  • Providing education, resources, and feedback through a variety of mediums including in writing, visual guides, handouts, and videos (rather than verbal feedback, which can be easily forgotten).

  • A physical space that is accommodating to those with sensory sensitivities (quiet waiting area, minimal distractions, dimmed lights).

  • Providing multiple appointment reminders and a flexible schedule.

I utilize a feminist approach to therapy, and use components of a variety of treatments to meet your individual needs, including acceptance, narrative, compassion, and solution focused therapies.
