Hello! My name is Hannah
I am excited to be a part of your therapeutic journey.
People come to therapy for a myriad of reasons: Maybe you're struggling with daily functioning, like time management or focusing. Maybe it is depression or anxiety that's making you feel hopeless and is keeping you from doing the things you need or want to do. Perhaps you're struggling with unresolved trauma that you find is continuously popping up and negatively affecting your life when you just want to move on. Maybe
you’ve experienced religious trauma that’s still impacting your thoughts and behaviors.
Or you could be struggling with the state of the world as it is and just need a place to
vent openly. I want to congratulate you on taking the first step in reaching out for help,
as it can be daunting to make yourself vulnerable.

On that note, I recognize that there are a lot of poor practices exhibited by therapists
these days. After years of learning from clients and listening to their stories, I’ve been
able to build an understanding of the bad and sometimes traumatic experiences mental
health professionals have caused, especially to those in the BIPOC, neurodivergent,
and LGBTQIA+ communities. My goal is to always be learning and changing what I can
to better serve marginalized communities and decrease that likelihood of harm. If you’re
ever concerned about something, please know that I am open to addressing your
concerns without judgment.
I primarily work with clients who are struggling to navigate daily functioning due to
challenges presented by depression/mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, ADHD,
and Autism in an ableist, neurotypical-centered world. I guide clients in finding
unconventional strategies that work best for them, process internalized shame and
ableism, and develop more adaptive ways of integrating their diagnoses with
themselves. I also have a background in religious deconstruction, primarily protestant
Christianity, as I have been through the process myself. I can help you with whatever
point of deconstruction you might find yourself in and guide you through to where you
want to land. This can look like walking away from your faith completely, redefining what
your faith means to you, or even finding a new belief system that better aligns with who
you are.
My approach to therapy is focused on the whole person, including your relationships,
lifestyle, and beliefs/religion. This means I utilize an eclectic assortment of modalities
depending on your needs, including EMDR, CBT, humanistic, psychodynamic,
mindfulness, solution-focused, and person-centered therapies.
